First and foremost you cannot do it.Experienced technician only can identify, pinpoint and attend to it. It involves:

Taking the gas inside the bottle(small gas cylinder).Refilling with dry air at brand specific full pressure ( usually at @ 75 psi).Identify with soap solution on probable leak spots , usually joints.Rarely in the run of the condenser cooling coil pipings.If you get gas bubbles slowly developing , indicates minor leak.If they develop faster indicates major leak.

Remove the dry air.Solder/ braze the spot.This is skill ful job only good technicians do the good,proper job. Needs brazing rods,brazing torch.And skillful job.

Again check the gas leak by filling dry air at full pressure and checking with soap solution.There could be second spot of leak.If drop in pressure is not observed or pressure holds ok for about half/1 hour leak is attended.Or dry pressurised air is kept overnight and pressure drop is checked before filling refrigerent gas next day.

Remove the dry air.

Refill with specific refrigernt gas from the bottle cylinder at specific pressure usually 75 psi.

Run the unit.See it cools in usual time.

Usually a job of 2 days.If leak spot is identified quickly.If multiple leaking spots are involved, can take longer duration.A day more.
